Vehicle Description 1954 Oldsmobile- 1960s survivor show Kustom.
Owned and built by Bill Olivo since 1962.
Bill was the second owner according to him.
Bill was from San Jose, Ca.
He slowly began customizing the car shortly after he purchased it.
It had green and white tuck n roll interior already when he got it.
The trunk still has that old upholstery job.
He had the bucket seats and interior done black in 1964.
Painted by Customizing legends Joe Wilhelm and Louie Stojanovich.
The car was given the first metal flake paint job in San Jose at the time in 1964.
The car will be featured in Speed and Kulture Illustrated Magazine's first book coming out this Fall.
Everything that could be taken apart and chromed was chromed, including brake drums, fender wells, which cost roughly $2500 in 1964 or roughly $25K in today's money.
Engine has original mileage, 324 CID, Edelbrock 3x2 intake, 3 chromed 94 carbs, Comes with u fab chrome 4x2 intake he ran on it originally, Pertronix Ignition conversion, brand new Powermaster PowerGen alternator.
Hydramatic Transmission was replaced in 2020 with a new TCI TH-400 transmission with mild shift kit, custom bellhousing and flexplate by Ross Racing (not an adapter kit).
Transmission external cooler installed in front of radiator.
Mini hi-torque starter installed in 2022.
Brakes were completely rebuilt in 2019.
Including rebuilt power brake booster.
New rear shocks, wheels and tires installed in late 2019 comes with rare Foresight Venture Wheels from 1964 that Bill ran on the car during the '60s.
Power Steering pump rebuilt in 2021.
Factory original repro battery from 2021.
Very rare 1961/62 RCA 45 under dash record player and Motorola reverb, all functioning properly.
The car was shown extensively from 1965-1968, winning over 100 trophies including Oakland in 1965 for Mild Custom Hardtop.
It cruised John's Drive-In in downtown San Jose, Ca.
almost every weekend and was well known in the south bay area.
Bill had the car repainted in 2015 with House Of Colors Organic Green Candy over silver base and platinum flaked clear coat.
Door handles were shaved with solenoid door poppers installed back in the 1960s.
Nosed, decked, frenched headlights, 1955 Olds 98 Tail lights, rare original 7 Lucas headlamps.
Dual exhaust with 15 glass pack mufflers, exhaust done in 2020.
1959 Oldsmobile steering wheel installed by Wilhelm in 1964.
The car has new 3 lowered Jamco springs up front and original 1960s lowering blocks in the rear.
Ooohooga horn, bullhorn, plus factory horn.
green lights under wheel wells turn on with switch on the column.
