Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst ICounty of Nevada, CA$73,424 - $89,627 annuallyNevada County, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, is currently recruiting a GIS Analyst to work in the Assessor's office.
Perform a variety of technical and general assignments, which include developing and maintaining various GIS mapping layers -maintaining a versioned, replicated Enterprise GIS system -publishing map services and configuring a web application builder to consume services -performing spatial analysis and map production -managing, designing, and executing data integration or creating workflow specifications and systems in support of other county departments -conducting feasibility studies and integrating commercial software -installing, diagnosing, programing and developing custom applications for County GIS users -and performing related work as required.
Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in geographic information systems, planning, geography, physical science, forestry, information systems, computer science, cartography, or a closely related field, plus two years of experience participating in automated mapping and analysis.
GIS, ArcGIS Desktop, and relational database experience is preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
